Prof. Chandra Lekha Sriram at United Nations University in Japan

Professor Chandra Lekha Sriram was hosted by the United Nations University in Tokyo while conducting interviews in Japan.  As part of the visit, she held a public seminar, attended by UN staff, on Human Rights in Conflict, discussing the challenges of promoting peace while protecting human rights and responding to past abuses. Participants held a lively discussion of challenges and policy developments in countries  including India, Yemen, and Sri Lanka, building on lessons and experiences from TJDI countries of study such as Sierra Leone, Chile, Brazil and Uganda.
